| "Nathan Stalder 35, Trimble Tomcats 13" could have been an accurate headline for the 1996 game as Nelsonville-York's senior tailback score all of the Buckeyes points in the form of five touchdowns, one extra point kick and two two-point conversions. In the process Stalder had 202 yards rushing and 16 yards receiving on the night. The opening drive of the night, the Buckeyes ran over seven minutes off of the clock before Stalder found the endzone from three yards away. The teams then traded possessions to end the quarter. As the second quarter started Trimble quarterback Zach Miller found Brian Camechis over the middle who turned a 20-yard post route into a 71-yard touchdown. The kick was good and the score was tied at seven. The half would close with consecutive Stalder touchdowns from three yards out and nine yards away. The score at the half was 19-7. The teams traded possessions at the start of the third quarter. Then Trimble launched a 12-play drive that ended with a one-yard score by Anthony Collura, after a failed extra point the score was 19-13. Stalder then crushed any hopes of a Tomcat rally with two scores in the fourth quarter, both four yard runs.
