| As heavy favorites in the game, the undefeated Buckeyes were predicted to make short work of the 1-3 Tomcats. That is why it came as a shock to Boston Field that on the opening possession the Tomcats converted a third and long, and had the ball in scoring position. The Buckeyes regrouped and became the unbeaten force that most in attendance had come to see. Trimble on the other hand would never threaten to score again. In the process, senior Buckeye tailback Justin Gail would rush for 293 yards and score five touchdowns for the contest. The first Gail score came from four yards out, and with a Tad Steinbrink kick (one of six) the score was 7-0. Gail immediately followed with a 53-yard punt return for six after the Killer B defense held the Tomcats to a three and out. The second quarter started with a 48-yard touchdown run for Gail that upped the score to 21-0. After another stuffed series the Tomcats had a punt blocked that went out of the back of the endzone for a safety. After the following free kick, Buckeye quarterback Seth Collins scored the first of his two touchdowns on a 35-yard run. Gail then capped the scoring for the half on a 14-yard sprint giving the Buckeyes a 37-0 halftime lead. On the first offensive play of the second half, Gail ran 80 yards to paydirt. Collins ended the third quarter with a 15-yard run, he also added the conversion run as well. The only score of the fourth quarter was a 10-yard run by freshman Justin Inman. Both 1-4 Trimble and 5-0 Nelsonville-York begin league play the following week (The 1994 season was the first time that both teams would win their side of the TVC. Nelsonville-York went on to cap a perfect season, and Trimble rallied to win their last five games and finish 6-4, 5-0 in league play.)
