The 1975 match-up between Trimble and Nelsonville-York can be summed up by saying one name, "Mike Echstenkamper".  Echstenkamper accounted for all of the points in the game.  During the second quarter, Echstenkamper broke a 53-yard run down to the four-yard line.  After losing two yards, Trimble quarterback Kevin Meade found Echstenkamper for a six-yard score.  The Buckeyes blocked the extra point and the half time score was 6-0 in favor of the Tomcats.  During the third quarter, Trimble was in punt formation when a high snap sent punter Mike Echstenkamper chasing after the ball.  Realizing that giving the Buckeyes good field position could potentially tie the game, Echstenkamper ran the ball into his own endzone to record a safety.  In the final quarter Echstenkamper had a 32-yard run to set up another Meade to Echstenkamper touchdown pass, this time from 25-yards out.  In all Echstenkamper rushed for 100 yards, had 49 yards receiving and recorded 16 tackles.  The leading rusher for the game was Nelsonville-York's Brian Sullivan who gained 140 yards on the ground.  Nelsonville-York dominated the statistics, but turnovers hurt the Buckeyes as they lost two fumbles and had four passes intercepted.
