| The rivalry that is Trimble versus Nelsonville-York started with two struggling teams, playing in a contest that at its conclusion would see both teams exit with identical 1-2 records. After Terry Everett scored on three yard run in the first quarter, the game was taken over by Glouster's senior tailback Byron Guinther. Guinther scored on a 73 interception return (one of three INTs for the game), and had 15 carries for 120 yards with a touchdown.
