The Trimble Tomcats: A Helmet History II
The 1980 team had a white script Cats and white, gray and, white stripes with a gray facemask
The 1981 helmet was one of the most complex.  It had a gray script "Cats" outlined in white . The "C" in the word Cats on the side, is the head of a cat, along with white, gray, and white stripes and a white facemask
1982-1985 were all a form of the paw helmet, see page ONE
1986 was just a plain red helmet with no decals
The '87 helmet had a white profile of a cat (that looked like a cougar or mountain lion) with white, gray, and white stripes see the 1987 team page for another view.
1988 had just a single white stripe down the center of the helmet
1989 (left) had a white paw print and a single white stripe down the middle of the helmet
1990 (right) had the same decal scheme as '89 except the word pride was written in red script through the paw print.  If you look close you can barely see the word "pride"
The 1991 helmet had a white "T" and a single white stripe
1992 feature the jersey number of the players on the side of the helmet and gray, white, and gray stripes down the middle
In 1993 the Tomcats went back to the same white script Cats of the 1980 season with a single white stripe
