A unique part of the Trimble Tradition is the link we have to a large number of successful coaches
The 2001 season featured 11 coaches with Trimble in their background.  Of the 11, seven had winning records, and five made the state playoffs.  Two of the teams with losing records were one game from being .500.
Phil Faires - Head Coach, Trimble Local High School, 2001 record 10-2, has the most wins in Trimble football history 83-41 with seven TVC championships.
Paul Culver - Head Coach, Sheridan High School, 2001 record 7-4, former Trimble head coach with a record at Trimble of 37-18-4, has lead the Generals since 1981 holding the record for most wins in Sheridan history (187) 12 MVL titles, and an appearance in the State Championship game in 1987
Ed Bolin - Former Head Coach, Waverly High School, 2001 record 8-3, former Trimble head coach with a record at Trimble of 33-15-3, was head coach at Waverly from 1984-2001 with a record of 114-67.  1980 Coach of the Year in the State of Ohio.
Steve Pelfrey - Former Head Coach, Vandalia Butler High School, 2001 record 8-3, served as an assistant at Trimble, led the Aviators to four consecutive trips to the state playoffs, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003.
Matt Bokovitz - Head Coach, Gallia Academy High School, 2001 record 9-3 (assistant coach GAHS), son of former Trimble Head Coach Joe Bokovitz, has led the Blue Devils to three SEOAL championships and into the State Playoffs three times.
Kevin Meade - Former Head Coach, Nelsonville-York, Athens, 2001 record 6-4, former Trimble player and assistant, won four TVC championships as head coach of the Buckeyes, and took them to the state playoffs four times.  Had three undefeated teams, 1994, 1997, 1998.
Jeff Conroy - Head Coach, Miami Trace High School, former Head Coach Oak Hill High School.  2001 record 4-6.  2001 was one of three losing records in Coach Conroy's football history, including as a player, assistant and head coach dating back to the mid 1970's.  Former assistant at Trimble, won three consecutive SVAC championships at Oak Hill 1986-1988, has won the first two SCOL championships at Miami Trace, 2004,2005.  Has made five playoff appearances
Ed Terwilliger - Head Coach, Olentangy High School, 2001 record 6-4, served as an assistant at Trimble in 1979.  Past President of the Ohio High School Football Coaches Association.  Playoff qualifier 2005.  Have not had a losing record in the past six years, competing in the tough OCC Cardinal division.
Greg Holbert - Former Head Coach, Alexander High School, 2001 record 2-8, former player, assistant and head coach at Trimble, overall record at Trimble 35-36. Head Coach of the 1989 undefeated Trimble team.
Scott Christman - Former Head Coach, Reedsville Eastern High School, 2001 record 9-2, former Trimble player and assistant, current Trimble assistant, led the Eagles to consecutive playoff appearences in 2000 and 2001
